kABIR'S pREP

Kabir's Prep is the world's greatest place to study for standardized exams. Run by head tutor, Dr. Kabir Mendiratta, we've tutored over 3,000 students and scores from our class have resulted in over 1.3 million dollars in scholarship, per year. I've been working at Kabir's Prep since December 2015; My primary duties are grading homework, meeting with parents and students, and developing curriculum. Kabir's Prep is a hub for motivated kids looking to improve their scores and change one of the greatest facets of their college application. Check out our website!

CITY OF DETROIT

I lead two teams of teen entrepreneurs to develop a webtool capable of stratifying and organizing online content according to importance for city officials. The project had direct oversight from Jill Ford, Head of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Detroit and Special Advisor to Mayor Mike Duggan. With the project being split into two teams, one performing business analytics for the project, the other developing the application, I managed, researched and recruited for both.

Magna international

Magna International is one of the world's largest automotive suppliers, and I was extremely lucky to be able to intern for them this summer. I worked with them from July 8th to September 2nd, 2016. I was an IT intern, primarily dealing with network firewalls and configurations. Working with my supervisor, I've built and modified software tools to automate various network processes. I've also reworked several of the tools we use to test network integrity from the outdated Tcl to PHP, facilitating future updates to the code. I also learned a great deal about hardware during my time at Magna; my supervisor and I had to regularly team up to tackle gnarly wiring issues in our data center.

IDEAL ids

IDeal is an up-and-coming software firm based in Detroit. IDeal has created an application that allows schools, universities and workplaces to digitize identification cards and transfer the information into a user-friendly application. The startup has gained support from institutions like the University of Pennsylvania, where it was incubated, and the Cranbrook Kingswood Educational Community, where they won a 1st place grant in a campus-wide business pitch competition. At IDeal, I was chief marketer and worked primarily in boosting the company's online presence and investor outreach. I set up and maintained email servers, newsletters and created a press kit to increase brand visibility alongside a heavy focus on SEO and organic growth.
